The President may also declare additional days
to be nonworking days. For example, the
President for the past few years has declared 25
February, the anniversary of the 1986 EDSA
People Power Revolution, as a holiday. If a
holiday falls on a non-working day (e.g., a
Sunday for office staff), there is no provision
for a subsequent day to be provided in lieu.
Holidays falling midweek may be shifted to the
nearest Monday or Friday. |
