Following its adoption of energy efficiency and conservation measures for city government offices, the City Government of Davao logged a consistent decrease in its fuel consumption.
According to a comparative report from the City Planning and Development Office (CPDO), the city government’s fuel consumption reached 324,384.08 liters in May. This is significantly lower than the 384,026.08 liters of fuel used in March 2026.
The City Engineer’s Office led in fuel savings, reducing its consumption by over 50,000 liters, followed by the City Environment and Natural Resources Office and the Davao Bus Office.
The reduction aligns with resolutions adopted in April by the city’s Inter-Agency Task Force on Emergency Socioeconomic Crisis Response (IATF-CRISIS), which pushed for energy efficiency and conservation measures aimed at lowering fuel consumption across city offices.
The IATF-CRISIS has expressed its gratitude to the employees of the City Government for their continued support and dedication to serve Dabawenyos.
The City Government of Davao also assures Dabawenyos that it will continue exploring more ways to mitigate the effects of the crisis in the city. CIO
