Thousands of overseas job opportunities await Dabawenyo workers as the Mindanaon Job Fair 2026 opens on July 29 to 31, 2026 at the SM City Davao Annex Center, bringing together legitimate recruiters and government agencies to champion safe and legal migration.
The three-day event is organized in partnership with the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) Regional Office XI, the City Public Employment Service Office (PESO), the Office of Hon. Rachel P. Zozobrado and TaraKabayan Plus KalingApp Digital Initiatives, Inc. and open to all Aspiring OFWs, Skilled workers, professionals, and first time applicants, as well as returning OFWs.
“This job fair on July 20 to 31 is actually open for all for those who are still planning or just curious, already have their papers ready. The entire committee have already contacted legitimate recruiters. So, these are already registered and accredited with DMW, with Public Employment Service Office (PESO) and Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA),” Pauline Ferrero, Consultant and Spokesperson of TaraKabayan said during the ISpeak Media Conference on Thursday.
The fair will feature 10 DMW- licensed recruitment agencies with an estimated 3,000 job seekers throughout the 3-day event.
Beyond the recruitment, the event will also conduct Anti-Illegal Recruitment Seminar, Anti-Human trafficking awareness, OFW rights and safe migration orientation and free notarial service.
She warned against fraudulent recruitment citing red flags such as lack of license or proper identification of the recruiter or recruitment agency, excessive or illegal fees and alteration or substitution of employment contracts.
“We have to be careful because fraud is also very techy nowadays. They are quite becoming sophisticated these days. Really, it has to boil down to going through the right platform or right channels. So that, when there are issues outside, they are also immediately traced,” she added.
Interested applicants are also encouraged to bring a Valid Passport, Valid Secondary ID, Valid NBI Clearance, Supporting documents like previous Certificate of Employment, and Certified true copy of Diploma.
Ferrero also assured that they will be dealing only with licensed recruitment agencies that are committed to guiding them through the process and securing legitimate placements abroad.
“To those who are applying, rest assured that they are talking directly to those who have clear papers and they are placing their trust on these agencies who will guide them and find them proper placements abroad,” she said. CIO
