Residential projects accounted for the majority of the 1,924 construction activities recorded in Davao City in 2025 based on approved building permits, the Philippine Statistics Authority’s (PSA) Construction Statistics showed.
The statistics showed that 61.6 percent of the figure consisted of residential constructions, 36.5 percent of the figure is non-residential and 1.4 percent is alteration/repair projects, while 0.3 percent fall under other types of construction.
Of the total 1,186 residential constructions, 1,178 are single houses, four are apartments/accesoria, and four are condominiums.
Out of the 705 non-residential constructions, 580 are commercial, 13 are industrial, 97 are institutional, four are agricultural, and 11 are classified as other non-residential constructions.
The construction activities covered a total floor area of 1,027,812 square meters (sq. m.), with non-residential constructions covering 635,426 sq. m. and residential constructions accounting for 392,386 sq. m.
In terms of value, the total construction value reached Php 12.67 billion. Residential constructions accounted for the highest share, with a total value of Php 6.9 billion, followed by non-residential constructions with a total value of Php 5.47 billion. CIO
