The City Tourism Operations Office on Wednesday, December 3, 2025 released the official order of parade for the Banda Dasig ug Parada sa Pasko Fiesta 2025.
Set for December 7, 2025, at 3 pm from Roxas Avenue to San Pedro Square, the official order of parade combines bands, dancers, and Christmas floats to bring the Paskong Dabawenyo, Paskong Pilipino to life.
A total of 27 contingents for the Elementary School category and 18 contingents for the Open Category will compete for the Banda Dasig Drum Lyre and Marching Band Competition,
A total of 12 floats will also compete for the Pasko Fiesta Christmas Float Competition.
Charlotte Parba, Administrative Officer of the City Tourism Operations Office (CTOO), in a media forum for Pasko Fiesta last month, bared that as early as December 3 there is already road closure for the entrance of Banda Dasig, one of the biggest events of Pasko Fiesta.
“To avoid the Christmas rush during the December gi-move nato earlier ang Banda Dasig. If you recall we had our Banda Dasig on December 15 last year so ngayon it’s gonna be on December 7, para dili sya musabay sa kasagsagan sa Christmas shopping, Christmas parties, Christmas reunions (To avoid the Chirstmas rush during the December we moved the Banda Dasig ealier. If you recall, we had our Banda Dasig on December 15 last year so this year it’s gonna be on December 7 so it will not coincide with Christmas shopping, Christmas parties, Christmas reunions),” she said.
Parba said that they are hopeful the new schedule will somehow decongest the traffic situation.
She added that their office had coordinated with the City Transport and Traffic Management Office (CTTMO) and the Public Safety and Security Office (PSSO) to ensure the safe and orderly conduct of the event.
PSSO Head Angel Sumagaysay, in a separate interview said that more or less 2,800 security and safety personnel will be deployed for the event. CIO
