The City Government of Davao joined the nationwide observance of the Ease of Doing Business (EODB) Month through a series of activities spearheaded by its Committee on Anti-Red Tape (CART).

The month-long observance started on May 4 with a message delivered by the CART Secretariat during the city government’s flag-raising ceremony. The message underscored the local government’s continuing efforts to strengthen a culture of efficiency, accountability, and responsiveness in public service, aligned with the whole-of-government and whole-of-nation approach advocated by the Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA).

Anchored on Proclamation No. 818, s. 2025, declaring the Month of May of Every Year as the “Ease of Doing Business (EODB) Month”, the observance also featured the posting of EODB banners in strategic areas of government buildings and the participation of various city government departments in the EODB Grand Fair held at SM City Davao on May 12-13, 2026.

As part of the campaign, ARTA advocacy materials promoting the elimination of red tape and the streamlining of government transactions were also prominently displayed at the entrances of government offices. These materials served as a reminder to public servants of their role in delivering efficient, accessible, and client-focused services.

The activities conducted throughout the EODB Month highlight the City Government of Davao’s continued collaboration with ARTA and its commitment to enhancing public service delivery.
