The City Transpgort and Traffic Management Office (CTTMO) has issued traffic advisories to ensure smooth traffic flow in line with the opening of the Maa Flyover.
The opening took place on Monday, March 2, 2026.
The advance advisory issued on February 28 highlighted areas of concern near the Davao Christian High School.
Under the guidelines, trucks are prohibited from passing along the Ma-a Flyover during truck ban hours from 5 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., Monday to Friday. The restriction covers all trucks, including those with exemptions.
Motorists exiting the Davao Christian High School are not allowed to make a left turn. Vehicles must turn right and proceed to the designated U-turn slot ahead.
Meanwhile, a regulated left turn will be implemented for vehicles entering the school from the Ma-a Flyover during peak hours — 5 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., Monday to Friday only.
Vehicles coming from Ma-a Road heading to the school are also not allowed to make a left turn. Instead, they are advised to use the Ma-a Bypass Road and execute a U-turn.
In addition, all vehicles from Ma-a Road bound for Magtuod Road or C.P. Garcia Highway (southbound) must turn right and make a U-turn ahead.
Similarly, vehicles from Magtuod Road going to Ma-a Road or C.P. Garcia Highway (northbound) are required to turn right and execute a U-turn ahead.
The CTTMO reminded motorists to observe traffic rules and road signage in the area and encouraged them to drive safely.
As of Monday, the signages for the truck ban were already in place to remind motorists of the schedule.
