Davao City was recognized by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) as a passer in the 2025 Good Financial Housekeeping (GFH), marking its 15th year of receiving the distinction.
Evelyn T. Deocampo, LGOO VII and Cluster Head of DILG-Davao City, shared in an interview the criteria for the 2025 GFH which included a most recent Commission on Audit (COA) Opinion of unmodified or qualified, and compliance to Full Disclosure Policy requirements.
Following the DILG assessment, Davao City met the required accounting and auditing standards and demonstrated compliance with FDP mandates. These included the timely and complete posting of financial documents in three conspicuous places and on the FDP Portal for the second and fourth quarters of 2024, as well as the first quarter of 2025.
The recognition underscores the city’s unwavering commitment to transparency, accountability, and excellent governance, reflecting its efficient and responsible financial management practices.
