The City Government of Davao has reconstituted the Davao City Cemetery Management Board (DCCMB) through Executive Order No. 4, series of 2026, strengthening its mandate to oversee the orderly, dignified, and sustainable management of public cemeteries in the city.

Under the new order, the City Mayor will serve as Chairperson, with the City Economic Enterprise Manager as Co-Chairperson.

With the increasing demand for burial spaces, the new board will lead consultations and planning for modernization and rehabilitation of existing city public cemeteries, and those that may be subsequently acquired by the city.

The new board is also mandated to formulate programs and policies for the proper disposition of cadavers in accordance with Presidential Decree No. 856 or the Sanitation Code of the Philippines, as well as the security and traffic arrangements to safeguard public safety during the annual observance of All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day celebrations.

Additionally, the Technical Working Group shall be composed of permanent representatives from the City Administrator’s Office – City Economic Enterprises, City Planning and Development Office, City Engineers Office and City Health Office.
