The City Government of Davao issued Executive Order reconstituting the Davao City Parks System Management Board to strengthen the management, preservation, and sustainable use of the city’s public parks and open spaces.

Executive Order No. 13, Series of 2026, mandates the creation of a management board responsible for formulating plans, policies, and courses of action for the standard and singular maintenance of all public parks, plazas, promenades, center islands, heritage sites, protected areas, conservation areas, riverbanks, and memorials within the city.

The reconstitution reflects one of the city’s priority thrusts, which is the quality of life for all Dabawenyos.

Under the executive order, the City Mayor will serve as Chairperson, the City Administrator as Co Chairperson, and the Head of the City Environment and Natural Resources Office as Vice Chairperson.

The Board is vested with powers and functions that includes the preservation and regulation of public parks, propose ways to provide desirable facilities for park goers, and conduct continuing information and education campaigns to safeguard its public parks and open spaces while providing inclusive spaces for recreational and community gatherings.
