Determined to nurture a culture of innovation and pride in public service, the City Government of Davao has reconstituted its Program on Awards and Incentives for Service Excellence (PRAISE) committee to honor exemplary public service and inspire greater innovation across the city’s workforce.
The PRAISE Committee, mandated under Civil Service Commission (CSC) Memorandum Circular No. 01, series of 2001, is designed to strengthens the city’s drive to recognize accomplishments, reward creativity, and promote organizational productivity among government employees.
The committee will be chaired by the City Mayor with the head of the Human Resource Management Office as Vice Chairperson. Its m members include the heads of the City Legal Office, City Budget Office, and City Planning and Development Office, together with 1st and 2nd level representatives from the Davao City Hall Employees Association (DACHEA).
Through its mandate, the committee will establish a system of awards and incentives to recognize and motivate employees for their performance and conduct as well as documenting best practices, innovative ideas, and success stories that demonstrate Davao’s workforce’s creativity and commitment.
Funding for its operations will be drawn from available city government resources, subject to standard accounting and auditing rules and regulations.
