A total of 22 Public Safety and Security Office (PSSO) Civil Security Guards (CSGs) completed a five-day intensive training from September 15–19 as part of the preparation for the Davao City Interim Bus (DC Bus).
The program, conducted in partnership with the Davao Public Transport Modernization Program (DPTMP), was designed to equip the guards with essential skills to ensure passenger safety. It covered topics on the culture of security, bomb detection awareness, anti-criminality strategies, intelligence gathering, fire prevention, basic life support, and unarmed combat.
Experts from the PSSO, Task Force Davao, Davao City Police Office, Bureau of Fire Protection, and the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office served as resource speakers during the training.
The completion of the training marks a significant step forward in the city’s preparations for the DC Bus system, ensuring that commuter safety and security remain a top priority. CIO
