A total of 61,146 Dabawenyos availed of services offered during the City Government of Davao’s Caravan of Government Services in 2025, which were held in 182 barangays across the city.

The caravan aims to ensure that every Dabawenyo is able to avail of the services offered by the local government and other agencies for them, especially those living in the far-flung areas of the city. It also serves as an avenue for the government to connect with the people at the community level— to be able to see and thoroughly assess the situation, concerns, and issues on ground.

Jimboy Pañal, the City Mayor’s Office’s Barangay Affairs Team Leader, told the City Information Office that the success of the caravan was due to the strong collaboration between the city government, partner agencies, and the community.

“Kini nga kalampusan bunga sa atong panaghiusa gikan sa mga opisyales sa barangay hangtod sa matag usa kaninyo. Magtinabangay kita aron ang serbisyo sa gobyerno magpabiling buhi ug mapuslanon alang sa matag pamilyang Dabawenyo (This success was born from a strong collaboration between the city government, barangay officials and the community. Let us continue to work together to ensure the services from the city government remains efficient and beneficial for every Dabawenyo),” he said.

“Ang City Government of Davao magpabiling lig-on sa iyang pasalig sa paghatag og paspas, de-kalidad ug inclusive nga serbisyo publiko alang sa tanan (The City Government remains firm in its commitment to provide efficient, quality, and inclusive public service for every Dabawenyo),” Pañal added.

He also bared that they have observed that a lot of Dabawenyos are availing of services from offices like the City Health Office (CHO) and the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA). With this, Pañal said that they plan to add more staff to cater to the beneficiaries of the caravan as well as optimize the time for registrations.

Along with COMELEC, PSA, and CHO, other national and local government offices will also be participating including the Anti-Scam Unit (ASU), City Agriculturist’s Office (CAgrO), City Assessor’s Office (CASSO), City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO), City Civil Registrar’s Office (CCRO), City Legal Office (CLO), City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO), Lingap, Educational Benefit System Unit (EBSU),Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Land Transportation Office (LTO), National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), and PAG-IBIG among others.

For 2026, the caravan of government services is set to start on February 10 in Barangay Bantol, Marilog District, in time for the celebration of its Araw ng Barangay.

“Atong giawhag ang tanang katawhan nga mosalmot niining maong programa ug mopahimulos sa mga serbisyo gikan sa atoang mga opisina (We urge Dabawenyos to continue joining and availing of programs and services offered during the caravan),” Pañal said. CIO
