The 21st Davao City Council, on suspended rules, approved on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, the release of Php 4 million in financial assistance to four provinces affected by Typhoon Uwan.

The four approved ordinances state that the Province of Kalinga, Province of Albay, Province of Pangasinan, and Province of Northern Samar will each receive Php1,000,000.

All of these provinces were declared under state of calamity due to Typhoon Uwan in November.

The approved ordinances authorize the city mayor to utilize a portion of the thirty percent (30%) Quick Response Fund (QRF) from the five percent (5%) Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Fund (DRRMF) of the City Government of Davao for Calendar Year 2025.

Earlier this month, the SP also approved Php 5.9 million in aid to LGUs hit by Typhoon Tino, which severely affected one province, five cities, and eight municipalities. CIO
