The City Government of Davao, through the City Economic Enterprises and the Public Safety and Security Office (PSSO), has made preparations for the orderly Siyam Ka Kaadlawon – including near churches and peripheral food stalls
PSSO Head Angel Sumagaysay said on Monday that they already readied security personnel to ensure the orderly observance of the activity.
“Naapil napud na siya sa atoang preparations ang Siyam ka Kaadlawon, ang City Economic Enterprises magbutang og kakanin, apil na siya sa atong bantayan pud ( The Siyam ka Kaadlawon is included in our preparations, and the City Economic Enterprises will also set up stalls for kakanin, we will also make sure that the display will be safe and orderly),” he said.
CEE Head Maximo Macalipes Jr. said that they set up a total of 30 kakanin booths near San Pedro Church from December 16 to December 24 from 1a.m. – 7 a.m.
Macalipes assured that all of these vendors have undergone orientations with the City Health Office and the PSSO.
In view also of the Pasko Fiesta activities, eight stalls of kakanin continue to exist in front of Quezon Park for the “Paskong Kakanin Fair”. They will display food from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. until December 24, 2025.
Meanwhile, as part of the festivities for the Pasko Fiesta, the Human Resource and Management Office of Davao City will set up booths at Rizal Park, which will consist of food and other wares. The display at the Rizal Park will last until December 18.
