The Davao City Public Safety and Security Office (PSSO) has called on Dabawenyos to anchor their actions on discipline, the city’s core value, as they visit cemeteries during Undas 2025.
Ret. P/Col. Angel Sumagaysay, the PSSO, said Dabawenyos should embrace discipline as a shared responsibility as Undas 2025 approaches.
“Hopefully, sa panahon sa kalag-kalag isulod permi na sa inyong utok nga tanan ta, permi makita nato sa dalan, nga ang dabawenyo, disiplinado (Hopefully, during the Undas 2025, we should always be mindful, we can see that on our streets, Dabawenyos are disciplined,),” he told Madayaw Davao on October 24, 2025.
He emphasized that the set guideline will be implemented equally across all cemeteries and must be followed without exception.
“Mag adhere lang ta sa atung giset na mga guidelines para iwas hassle once nga gusto ninyo musulod sa mga semeteryo (Let’s adhere to the guidelines that we have set to avoid hassle once you enter the cemeteries),” he added.
Meanwhile, P/Cpt. Hazel Caballero-Tuazon, the spokeperson of the Davao City Police Office, told Seguridad sa Syudad over Davao City Disaster Radio on Friday, October 17, 2025, that their office will also conduct a comprehensive coverage for Oplan Kalag-Kalag, which will run from October 31 to November 3.
She also reminded the public that it is prohibited to bring deadly weapons to ensure public safety and order.
“Ang atong department mag operate from October 31 to November 3. Before, during, and after ang atoang deployment sa undas and we remind everyone that during these days, bawal na ang mag-guna, manglimpyo, or magdala og mga deadly weapon and other materials nga pwede makasamad (We will operate from October 31 to November 3. Our deployment is before, during, and after Undas and we remind everyone that during these days, weeding, cleaning or bringing in of deadly weapons are prohibited),” she said.
Those visiting cemeteries will be allowed from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. from October 30 until November 3, 2025. However, the management of private cemeteries may implement different operating hours.
The PSSO also advised Dabawenyos to secure their possessions and lock their homes before going to cemeteries. CIO
