DATA PRIVACY NOTICE

The City Government of Davao is dedicated to safeguarding your privacy in compliance with Republic Act No. 10173, otherwise known as the Data Privacy Act of 2012 and other applicable issuances.

The City Government collects personal information to perform its governance responsibilities as outlined in the Local Government Code of 1991 and other pertinent laws.

For the efficient and effective provisions of basic services and facilities, your personal information as an employee or client, may be processed manually or through digital systems. 

The City Government collects personal data upon the availment of products and/or services or in the exercise of its powers as a local government unit to promote the general welfare. 

These data are retained only for the period necessary to fulfill its governmental functions. The disposal of personal data is undertaken according to the guidelines issued by the National Archives of the Philippines. 

The City Government adopts organizational, physical, and technical measures to ensure that personal data collected is handled securely.

As a data subject, you are granted specific rights under the Data Privacy Act of 2012 which includes the right to be informed of the processing of your data, to refuse its use, to access and correct it, to request its deletion or restriction, to transfer your data to another entity, to lodge a complaint, and to the payment of damages.
