The City Government of Davao, through the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) and the City Mayor’s Office (CMO), distributed food and non-food assistance to families affected by the recent fire incident in Barangay 21-C, Poblacion B District.

The relief items were distributed at the Barangay 21-C Gymnasium on October 5, 2025, with city personnel and barangay officials assisting in the orderly turnover of goods to the affected families.

A total of 272 families with 677 dependents received the aid from the city government as part of its continuing efforts to provide immediate relief to fire victims.

The assistance includes essential food packs and non-food items that comprise basic necessities.

In his visit to the fire-affected families at the evacuation site on Friday, Davao City Acting Mayor Sebastian “Baste” Duterte
assured the victims that the city is ready to assist them as part of the its social welfare response program.

Meanwhile, the CSWDO, during the weekend, launched a donation drive for the fire victims with Rizal Park as the donation drop-off area, which lasted until Monday, October 6. CIO
