Beyond the festive music, street dances, and colorful floral parades, this year’s Kadayawan Festival brings an extra reason for every Dabawenyo to celebrate as the Big KadayaONE Sale offers big discounts, exclusive promos and freebies from August 1 to 31, 2026.
Nicole Hao Bian Ledesma, President of the Private Sector Representative and the Davao Tourism Association, said, during the Kadayawan Festival 2026 media launch that the month-long sale from malls, hotels and other private establishments will offer exclusive discounts and special promotions to deliver an unforgettable shopping and dining experience for all Dabawenyos.
“One of the biggest events this year is our Kadayawan Big Sale. It’s a month-long campaign where tourists and locals alike can explore or experience big discounts, special promotions and freebies when they shop, dine and explore Davao,” she said.
Willenito P. Tormis Jr., Head of the City Tourism Operations Office (CTOO), emphasized that whether strolling along festival venues or relaxing in neighborhood malls, Dabawenyos and tourists alike will experience the warmth and culture of Kadayawan spirit throughout August.
He also expressed his gratitude for the overwhelming support from local business owners, hotels, and shopping malls, noting that community-wide involvement is what truly elevates Kadayawan.
“Ang mga hotels and malls grabe pod ang participation nga gihatag sa atoa for this year. Mapasalamaton gyud ta. Kay kini ang atoang Kadayawan is not just organized by the city, collaboration siya with the private sector and everyone involved for this (The hotels and malls are also participating this year. We are really grateful. Because our Kadayawan is not just organized by the city, it is a collaboration with the private sector and everyone involved for this),” he added.
