The Davao City Economic Enterprises (CEE) has officially opened the Kada Kada Bazaar, from August 7 to 31, 2026, transforming one of the city’s most historic landmarks, the Ramon Magsaysay Park into a vibrant hub of culture, food and entertainment.
Consorcia B. Ronquillo, Officer-In-Charge of the Ramon Magsaysay Park, CEE said that the bazaar strengthens local micro-enterprises, providing 64 dedicated spaces for Dabawenyo entrepreneurs to showcase their products and services.
“Ang naa diria sa Kada Kada Bazaar, naa tay common dining areas for the street foods, souvenirs, and Davao products para ang atoang mga bisita maganahan gyud sila unsay naa diria sa atoang Davao City. Naa pod tay kiddie games, inflatable playgrounds, ug Durian diners (What’s here at the Kada Kada Bazaar, we have common dining areas for street foods, souvenirs, and Davao products so that our visitors will enjoy what Davao City has to offer. We also have kiddie games, inflatable playgrounds, and Durian diners),” she said.
Beyond food and shopping, families can enjoy recreational activities such as face painting, photobooths, product sampling and giveaways ensuring that visitors not only enjoy but also actively engage with Davao’s growing SME community.
Rey Momo, one of the durian vendors at the Kada Kada Bazaar, shared his excitement for the Kadayawan opening, especially the influx of visitors who wanted to try the Durian fruit.
“Sa tanan Dabawenyos, mag enjoy ta karon Kadayawan. Gina awhag pod nato ang atoang mga Durian eaters nga naa tay stall diria sa Durian sa Magsaysay nga pwede kaayo mo mukaon ug mupalit diria (To all Dabawenyos, let’s enjoy Kadayawan. We also encourage our durian eaters that we have durian stalls here at Magsaysay where you can eat and buy),” he said. CIO
