Local flavors, creative works spanning visual arts, literature, and music, alongside the city’s thriving tourism industry, converge at the Duaw Davao All-in Expo.

The expo will run from June 22 to 24 at the Abreeza activity center, featuring 31 exhibitors, and the art exhibit, “Samut-Sari Art Exhibition,” that highlights the vibrant diversity and creative spirit of the city.

Harvey Lanticse, Acting Head of the City Information Office, said in his welcome remarks that the expo is a celebration of creativity, culture, and collaboration that continue to shape the city as one of the country’s most dynamic tourism destinations.

Addressing local artists, artisans, and other exhibitors, he gave credit to their passions and innovations in making the city a hub for growth and opportunity anchored on its rich culture, vibrant traditions, and flourishing creative scene.

“Through your passion and innovations, Davao City has become a platform where culture meets opportunities, where tradition meets modernity, and creativity drives tourism development,” Lanticse said.

As heritage-rich cuisines collide with boundary-pushing visual and literary arts, and the rhythm of local musicians intertwines with the energy of the city’s surging tourist economy, the expo is an expression of the city’s cultural and economic renaissance.

“More importantly it provides a venue where partnerships can be strengthened, ideas can be exchanged, and new opportunities and collaborations can emerge,” Lanticse added.

Davao City Mayor Sebastian Duterte also conveyed his unwavering support to the initiative. In a message delivered by Councilor Myrna Dalodo-Ortiz, Duterte reaffirmed the city’s steadfast commitment of bolstering the prestige of the city as a premiere destination through activities that promote its culture, heritage, and local artists and artisans.

“Since 2024, Duaw Davao has been another welcome avenue to celebrate the rich history and heritage of Davao City through its thriving tourism industry, flourishing arts and culture, vibrant culinary scene, and inclusive community,” he said.
