Davao City will enjoy a non-working holiday on March 16, 2025, marked as the celebration of Araw ng Pasasalamat in relation to the 89th Araw ng Davao.
Malacañang issued Proclamation 1174 to this effect on February 20, 2026 but the document was released only on February 25, 2026.

Meanwhile, the City Government of Davao is already gearing up for the 89th Araw ng Davao activities and issued the calendar of activities, which will run until March 28, when the Parada Dabawenyo will be held.
Unique this year are the events centered on the celebration of the 100 years of the Davao City Hall. There will also be new contests, community and school visits, and the highly anticipated Araw ng Dabaw Civic Parade.
