Around 18,000 members and supporters of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer/Questioning, Intersex, and Asexual/Aromantic/Agender (LGBTQIA+) participated in the Duaw Dabaw 2025 pride Parade on June 21, 2026, wearing colorful, vibrant attires.
The parade, which was held from Roxas St. to People’s Park, showcased registered and unregistered LGBTQIA+ groups, barangay-based organizations, communities, associations, and private communities and individuals in support of the LGBT.
Based on the official order of parade, 119 groups joined the event with each contingent group consisting 30 to 150 walking participants.
Some wore colorful and flamboyant attire and themed parade uniforms.
According to City Tourism Operations Office Head Willenito Tormis Jr. in a previous interview said that this year they encouraged more groups to participate and elevate their parade experience.
The rainy weather experienced during the end part of the parade did not stop the participants to finish the event with high energy and enthusiasm.
Public Safety and Security Office Head Angel Sumagaysay said that the whole event was orderly with no major incidents.
“So far very smooth naman siya wala ta’y kakulian except kadtong naa nata sa people’s park nibundang lang ang ulan but actually nadayon man siya gihapon, so wala man nahitabo, in place naman ang atoang security (So far, everything has been very smooth and we have not encountered any difficulties, except when we were already at People’s Park and the rain briefly stopped the activity.
