Various private sector business establishments are set to participate in the Big Duaw Dabaw Sale, a month-long event that starts June 1, offering discounts and promos for Dabawenyos and tourists as part of the official Duaw Dabaw activities.
Private Sector Representative and Davao Tourism Association President Nicole Hao Bian Ledesma said during the Duaw Dabaw media launch on Thursday that hotels, restaurants, travel and tours, transportation, and wellness activities will give promos and discounts.
“The private sector is really very thankful for the opportunity that the city is giving us to further promote our hotels, restaurants, travels and tours, transportation even spas and wellness activities by giving out promos and discounts which will be promoted to a bigger platform,” Ledesma said.
City Tourism Operations Office Head Willenito Tormis Jr, said the Duaw Dabaw page will share these discounts and promos.
“Ato ni silang gipa-post sa atong page para at least for wider dissemination para sa katawhan para ma-enjoy nila og ma avail ang sale or discounts (We have posted these on our page to ensure wider dissemination and reach more people, so they can enjoy and take advantage of the sales and discounts being offered),” he added.
Tormis said that malls and participating establishments were informed early about the sale.
“As early as April nag-inform ta sa atoang establishments nga naa ta’y Big Duaw Davao Sale. Very positive ang response sa atong partner establishments and daghan kaayog mga pakulo nga buhaton. Kami pud sa CTOO excited pud kaayo mi to feature sila sa atong Duaw Davao Page (As early as April, we already informed our establishments that we would be holding the Big Duaw Davao Sale. The response from our partner establishments has been very positive, and they have prepared many exciting promotions and activities. We at the CTOO are also very excited to feature them on our Duaw Davao Page),” Tormis said.
