The City Government of Davao issued Executive Order reconstituting its Health Care Committee to reinforce the delivery of a comprehensive healthcare package for employees and uphold a healthy workforce as the foundation of efficient public service delivery.
Executive Order No. 16, Series of 2026, was mandated under Civil Service Commission (CSC) Memorandum Circular No. 33, series of 1997, which requires all government agencies to provide health programs including hospitalization and annual medical examinations.
The committee’s responsibilities encompass monitoring and evaluating the healthcare package’s implementation, recommending new plans and enhancements, and ensuring that employees have access to quality healthcare services from medical services, mental wellness programs, and burial financial assistance.
It will also conduct regular evaluations of healthcare providers to guarantee coverage from health promotion and disease prevention to treatment and rehabilitation, all at reasonable cost.
The committee will be led by the City Mayor or a duly authorized representative, with the City Administrator’s Office as Vice Chair. Its members include the City Legal Office, Human Resource Management Office, City Health Office, City Budget Office, and a representative from the Davao City Hall Employees Association.
