The City Government of Davao’s Quality Management Systems (QMS) Committee trained Internal Quality Auditors (IQAs) during the two-day Training Course on ISO 19011:2018 guidelines to strengthen the city’s internal quality audit.

The two-day training was conducted on April 16-17, 2026.

During the training IQAs learned about ISO standards, the audit process and the preparation of audit documents from resource speaker Ms. Ana Marisse Dalawis, who also provided the participants inputs on audit principles aligned with international guidelines.

The highlight of the training was a simulation audit, which gave participants a hands-on experience in conducting audits. The exercise allowed auditors to apply concepts in a structured and practical setting.

Genevieve Gamueta, CPA Internal Quality Auditor Leader encouraged auditors to recognize the training’s broader significance not only for the local government’s growth but the local government’s collective mission to serve the public more effectively.

Quality Management System Leader, Atty. Sarah Phoebe Paclibar underscored the city’s commitment to quality governance.

The activity reflected the city’s continuing efforts to uphold quality, accountability, and excellence in public service. CIO
